Music | Tour De Picnic announce this year’s Electric Picnic charities

Last year Tour De Picnic broke the €1 million mark in funds raised for children’s charities. Back for its sixth annual instalment, Tour De Picnic unveiled the three brand new charity recipients for 2014 – which promises to be the biggest Tour De Picnic yet! This year funds raised through Tour De Picnic will go towards Irish Youth Foundation INDY Bikes, Special Olympics and Barnardos.

Event organiser Brian McDermott said, Last year cyclists and runners across Ireland not only arrived to the Picnic in style but helped raise a net sum of just under €200,000 at the same time. That money was spread across a number of charities: Laois Hospice, Laura Lynn House, Thank You Crumlin, Love Mia and a host of local worthy recipients in Stradbally.

We have physically seen the changes that this money has made to each of these charities and are eager to ensure we can continue to help raise much needed funds’.
