Castlepalooza returns for 2014.
Castlepalooza has announced it’s return from the 1-3 August 2014. For 8 years now, Castlepalooza has developed a reputation for bringing together an eclectic mix of music, arts, food and an abundance of craic to the wooded wonderland of Charleville Castle, and 2014 certainly aims to please all with a 3 Day Ticket including camping for just €64 plus booking fee.
Some of the acts confirmed for this year’s festival include: Andrew Weatherall / Codes / Daithi / Dan Croll / Elaine Mai / Funeral Suits / Gilles Peterson / Gruff Rhys / Liza Flume / O Emperor / Overhead The Albatross / Summer Camp / Tvvins / Vann Music / We Cut Corners to name only a few, with more to be announced.
Castlepalooza will also introduce Homebeat. This new product which has been aiming to champion Irish music and creativity by creating an experience that removes the walls of conformity and distance between artist and audience and indeed between audience and audience, while all the time promoting the ridiculous wealth of talent that exists on our doorsteps at this moment in time. Line up yet to be announced to play in the main room of Charleville Castle.
Castlepalooza 2014 also introduces a new area and one more reason to have the craic – SharkAshack. This stage will gather some of the top local DJs Ireland has to offer and Castlepalooza are teaming up with Bedlam, to give the festival goer a new set up in an intimate atmosphere where they will be able to spend the entire night with delicious beats and grooves.
There will be lots of other events to keep festival fans entertained, including the infamous Courtyard, a series of workshops involving all types of dance – Yoga, Burlesque, Hula Hooping and many more fun things yet to be announced.
Along with an impressive line-up, the EAT MY SHORTS shortfilm showcase returns again too.
Fancy camping in style at this year’s festival? Castlepalooza has Boutique Camping up for grabs with both 4 and 5 metre pre-pitched bell tents on offer. These make great, comfortable and fun places to stay in for the festival weekend. All our bell tents are made of the finest cotton canvas, which allows the tent to breath whilst keeping the elements out! They all have a fitted groundsheet and carpeted interior.
Partnerships with Vodafone, 2FM, Alex and Ani, Kopparberg, Erdinger, AerTV, Budvar, Aer Lingus, Shark and Metro Herald, amongst others, will also help to make this the best Castlepalooza yet.
A portion of each ticket will also go towards the ongoing work carried out on one of Ireland’s most historic landmarks., as Castlepalooza supports the Charleville Castle restoration project.
