Music | Hozier releases new EP and announces special Whelan’s show

Following success of the “Take Me To Church”,  Wicklow native Andrew Hozier-Byrne forges ahead with his first release of 2014.  Long term YouTube favourite “From Eden” is the title track; leading another 4 song short player.

Already enjoying extensive BBC Radio 1 support from both Zane Lowe and Fearne Cotton; “From Eden” was recorded in Dublin, and was co-produced by Hozier and Rob Kirwan, with Mike Crossey on mix duty

Offering a glimpse of Hozier’s debut album, which he is currently working on for release later this year. Equally thrilling are the gospel influenced “Work Song”, the none-more-black pyromania of “Arsonist’s Lullaby” and the minimalist, spooked blues of “To Be Alone”, which was recorded live at Hozier’s ‘kill-for-a-ticket’ Pepper Canister shows in Dublin last year.

Hozier has also announced a one-off show for Whelan’s in Dublin on Thursday 6 March.   Tickets priced at €10.00 including booking fee go on sale today at 10am.
