British singer songwriter Ben Montague has confirmed he will play The Academy 2 on Thursday 2nd of October.
Ben Montague one of the UK’s most talented singer songwriter’s at present, with support slots alongside The Wanted, Lawson and the Stereophonics amongst others. Having burst onto the scene in 2010 with single ‘Cant Hold me Down’ (taken from his debut album ‘Overcome’). Ben continued to impress with second single ‘Haunted’, which beat off label backed competition to achieve the coveted BBC Radio 2 Record of The Week slot.
His second studio album ‘Tales of Flying and Falling’ was released in early 2013 and following on from where he left off, ‘Tales of Flying and Falling’ became BBC Radio 2’s “Album of the Week”.
2014 is another exciting year for Ben as he is teaming up with hit song producer Dan Gautreau (Alicia Keys, Ben Howard, Loveable Rouges). His next single release ‘The Truth’ will be out March 2014, with Ben having been recently announced as support for the Shane Filan ‘You and Me Tour’ which kicks off this month also.
