Music | Ward Thomas to release debut album

Country / Americana duo Ward Thomas, comprised of 19-year old twin sisters Catherine and Lizzy Ward Thomas, have announced a new video for the title track of their debut Footnotes EP as well as a string of UK tour dates.

Influenced by the music of Carrie Underwood, Johnny Cash, Dixie Chicks and Alison Krauss at an early age, ‘Footnotes’ is set for release on 7 April.

Catherine from the duo comments on the new video; We shot this music video in the deep Hampshire countryside where we grew up. We wanted our first video to reflect our lives, who we are and where we come from. “Footnotes” the song is about how we are all so different and yet we still have so much in common.”

“No matter where you grow up or where you live, we’re all just trying to figure out how to live our lives well. Sometimes we need to stop, step back and take that “bird’s eye view” and realize even the small everyday decisions we make become footnotes in our bigger life story”.

The Footnotes EP features a guest appearances from Grammy Award winner Michael Omartian (on the track Take That Train) as well as a cover of Dougie MacLean’s Caledonia.
