Earlier this month, Westerman announced details of his new “Ark” EP and previewed a track from it titled “Albatross”. Now he is back but with the video.
Directed by Emilie Norenberg, it is set at night in the Margates Powell Cotton Museum where we find Westerman alone among a multitude of objects and some preserved animals.
Apparently, the EP was written in between a lot of travelling and recorded over an intense 3-day period with little sleep or contact with anyone.
Westerman is currently heading to Europe and the US for a short run of shows including Pitchfork Paris’ Avant-Garde showcase.
“Ark” EP is out on the 9 November on Blue Flowers.
